Mason is Making a Difference! George Mason University recognizes the importance of climate change and its unique responsibility as a role model in the community. The university is actively taking steps to reduce its environmental impact, primarily the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions associated with the university's operations, to achieve climate neutrality. Mason has made real progress on our journey towards sustainability and climate neutrality. We even scored a Silver rating in the Sustainability Tracking & Assessment Reporting System.
